Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.  1 Timothy 4:12

We have a vibrant and enthusiastic group of young people at St John’s aged 11 to 16 (S1-S6 school group).

They are very welcoming and take on roles of leadership themselves to spread the good news of God to others, including their families, the town where they live and ultimately further afield.

They have an area set out at the side of church especially for youth – this helps young people who come on their own feel like they can immediately ‘belong’ alongside their peers.

We have dedicated youth workers who help organise a wide range of activities (usually involving food of some sort!).
All our workers are police checked through the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.

There are expeditions at least twice per year.  Some are as far away as Rwanda and Romania but more commonly are Soul Survivor and the discipleship weekend in the Windmill Christian Centre, Arbroath.

Our youth have set up a number of groups that meet at various times – they’re all different so you should find one that suits you.  Some are social gatherings, some have more in depth study and prayer times – but all are fun!
